Check out from Dunalistair House and your driver guide will take you to Wairakei Golf and Sanctuary. One of New Zealand's premium golf facilities, the course was designed by Commander John Harris, with recent work carried out by Peter Thomson. The course represents a classic parkland test, however with the pumice soils, the drainage is exceptional and the whole experience is enhanced by the predator proof fence surrounding the property, enclosing a myriad of birds and animals, including falloe deer.
